Companionway Slide and Storm Hood Replacement - Pacific Seacraft

Extensively rotted plywood - grooved teak pools water and penetrates the finish

Failed miters - teak runners salvaged but cambered pieces were relaminated

Completed jigs - 3 okume plywood laminates


Teak milled to 3/16" and edge-glued with masking tape

Vacuum bagging teak laminates to already bent plywood

Joe mans the valve - Peter uses his sani-hose stethoscope to find leaks

Fairing with machine - followed by 36" longboard

Two coats sealer one coat Cetol - slide out for painting

Miters and bungs
Messed up on the book matching - but the grain blends well

Rabbited Teak - sealed and sanded on the inside to ease finish prepwork

Natural teak Cetol - not my favorite, but better than the old Cetol

Bowsprit Replacement, Toerail & Rubrail Repair - Sam Crocker Stonehorse

New bowsprit of laminated Wana trimmed and mounted

Fiberglass repair faired - Awlgrip - toerails and rubrails cut

Enamel and varnish on

Cockpit Rebuild & Replanking - 1954 35' Sparkman & Stephens "Corlaer"

Rotten cockpit structure - to be entirely replaced

Demolition of oak beams - route out rotten bulkhead sections

Removal complete - new fuel tank mounts

Bilge cleaning - new engine to be installed

Heaping pile of rotten wood and discontinued hardware
